2. Service Description

CV360 is an AI-powered CV generation platform that helps users create professional resumes. Our service includes:

• AI-powered CV content generation
• ATS compatibility checking
• Multiple export formats (PDF, DOCX)
• Job discovery and matching
• CVBot assistance and guidance

3. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and truthful information
• Reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
• Complying with usage limits and rate restrictions
• Not using the service for illegal or harmful purposes

4. AI Content Disclaimer

Important: You are responsible for your CV content.

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, exaggerations, or errors
• You must review and verify all content before submitting to employers
• You are responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of your CV
• Submitting false information may have legal consequences
• CV360 is not responsible for job rejections or consequences from AI-generated content

What you should do:

• Review all AI-generated content carefully
• Edit and customize content to match your actual experience
• Verify dates, job titles, and company names
• Ensure all claims are truthful and accurate
• Test your CV with ATS checkers before submission

5. Limitation of Liability

CV360 is provided "as-is" without warranties.

CV360 is not responsible for:

• Job application rejections or hiring decisions
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated content
• Data loss (you should download and backup your CVs)
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Third-party service failures
• Consequences of submitting false information
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

6. Usage Limits

Our service includes usage limits to ensure fair access for all users:

• Daily token limit: 2000 tokens per user
• Session limit: 500 tokens per session
• AI generation: 3 requests per minute
• Thinking mode: 3 questions per session

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Authentication: Email address (for account login)
• Form Data: Job titles, companies, skills, education, experience
• Usage Analytics: Page views, feature usage (anonymized)
• Generated Content: CVs you create (stored in your account)

What we DO NOT collect:

• Your name, phone number, or address
• Payment information (handled securely by Paystack)
• Location data or device identifiers
• Cookies for tracking or advertising

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized CV content using AI
• Provide customer support and assistance
• Improve our services and user experience
• Send important service updates (with your consent)

3. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
• Secure data storage with access controls
• Regular security audits and updates
• Limited access to personal data by authorized personnel only

4. AI Processing & Data Protection

What we send to AI (OpenAI):

• Job titles and descriptions
• Company names
• Skills and technologies
• Years of experience
• Education information

What we DO NOT send to AI:

• ❌ Your phone number
• ❌ Your LinkedIn profile URL
• ❌ Any personally identifiable information (PII)

How we protect your data:

• Data is processed securely through our API proxy
• We do not store data on AI service providers' servers
• AI responses are not used to train models
• All communication is encrypted (HTTPS)

5. Job Hunter Feature & Session Storage

The Job Hunter feature uses strict session-only storage for CV data to ensure maximum privacy and GDPR compliance.

• Current Session Only: CV data exists only in your current browser session
• Page Refresh Required: If you refresh the page or close your browser, you must upload your CV again
• No Persistence: CV data is never stored across sessions or saved to our servers
• Immediate Clearing: Closing your browser tab or window immediately clears all CV data
• Zero Server Storage: Your CV is never saved to our database or any persistent storage
• GDPR Compliant: This approach ensures full compliance with GDPR data minimization and privacy-by-design principles

Session Timer: A countdown timer in the navigation bar shows when your session will expire. You'll receive a warning 5 minutes before expiry. After expiry, you must start a new job search.

Why we use session storage:

• ✅ No risk of data exposure if you forget to log out
• ✅ Your CV is never stored on third-party servers
• ✅ Complete control over your data

6. Data Retention & Deletion

How long we keep your data:

• Account data: Kept until you delete your account
• Generated CVs: Stored in your account (you can delete anytime)
• Usage analytics: Deleted after 90 days
• Session data: Automatically deleted when you log out

Deleting your account: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. This will permanently remove:

• Your email and login credentials
• All generated CVs
• Your form data and preferences
• Your usage history

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate information
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
• Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
• Right to Data Portability: Export your data in machine-readable format
• Right to Object: Opt-out of marketing communications
